🎤Speaking Part 2:
Topic: Describe an unusual but interesting building you would like to visit.
You should say:
- What the building is
- Where it is
- What it looks like
- And explain why you would like to visit it
Sample Answer
One unusual but interesting building I’d love to visit is the Crazy House, also known as Hằng Nga Villa.
It’s located in Da Lat, a beautiful city in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. I first saw pictures of it online, and I was immediately blown away by its strange design.
From the outside, it looks like a giant tree or a house from a fairy tale. It has twisted walls, unusual staircases, tunnels, and animal-shaped decorations. Some parts even look as if they were growing out of the ground.
What makes it so interesting is that it doesn’t follow the usual rules of architecture. Instead of straight lines and simple rooms, it has a maze-like design that makes visitors feel as if they’re exploring a fantasy world.
I’d love to visit it because I’m really into unique places and creative designs. I’d like to wander around, take plenty of photos, and discover all its hidden corners.
I think the experience would be unforgettable because it would feel like stepping into a fairy tale rather than simply visiting a building. It would definitely be a place that sticks in my mind for a long time.

🎤 Speaking Part 3:
1️. Do you think old buildings should be preserved?
Yes, I think they should, especially those with historical or cultural value. They can help people look back on the past and understand how a city has developed over time.
Another reason is that old buildings can add character to a city. If every building is modern and similar-looking, the city might lose some of its unique identity.
📚 Vocabulary:
🔹 historical or cultural value : giá trị lịch sử hoặc văn hóa
🔹 look back on : nhìn lại
🔹 add character to : tạo nét đặc trưng cho
🔹 unique identity : bản sắc riêng
2️. Do you think a city’s buildings affect its vibe or atmosphere?
Definitely. The design and layout of buildings can shape the atmosphere of a city. For example, traditional buildings may create a more relaxed and charming vibe, while modern skyscrapers can make a place feel more dynamic.
They can also influence how people feel about a place. A well-designed city with attractive buildings may encourage people to spend more time outdoors and take in the surroundings.
📚 Vocabulary:
🔹 shape the atmosphere : định hình bầu không khí
🔹 dynamic : năng động
🔹 feel about a place : cảm nhận về một nơi
🔹 take in the surroundings : tận hưởng/ngắm nhìn cảnh vật xung quanh
3️. What factors do you consider when choosing a house or an apartment?
Personally, location is one of my top priorities. I’d want somewhere within easy reach of schools, shops, and public transport, because it would make my daily life much more convenient.
I’d also pay attention to the space and the overall environment. A place with enough room, good natural light, and a quiet neighborhood would make it easier to feel at home.
📚 Vocabulary:
🔹 within easy reach of : dễ dàng tiếp cận
🔹 public transport : phương tiện giao thông công cộng
🔹 natural light : ánh sáng tự nhiên
🔹 feel at home : cảm thấy như ở nhà
4️. Why do some people choose to build houses by themselves?
I think one reason is that they want to have full control over the design. They can choose the layout, materials, and features based on their own needs instead of having to settle for a ready-made house.
Another reason is that it can be a way to save money, especially if they can do some of the work themselves. It also gives them a strong sense of personal achievement when the house is finally completed.
📚 Vocabulary
🔹 have full control over : hoàn toàn kiểm soát
🔹 settle for : chấp nhận một lựa chọn không hoàn toàn như mong muốn
🔹 do the work themselves : tự mình làm công việc đó
🔹 personal achievement : thành tựu cá nhân
