🎤 Speaking Part 2:
Topic: Describe a website you often visit
You should say:
- What the website is
- When and where you first started using it
- How often you visit it and what you do there
- And explain why you like visiting it
💡 Sample Answer
A website I visit on a regular basis is YouTube, a video-sharing platform where people can watch and upload all kinds of content. I mainly use it for learning English, finding useful ideas, and sometimes just relaxing.
I first started using it when I was in high school. At first, I only watched music videos and funny clips, but over time, I came across lots of educational content, especially English-learning channels.
Nowadays, I probably visit YouTube almost every day, usually on my phone or laptop. I often look up IELTS lessons, pronunciation tips, or videos about topics I’m interested in. If I have some free time, I might also scroll through recommended videos and see what catches my eye.
The main reason I keep going back to YouTube is that it’s incredibly convenient. I can learn something new without having to sit through a formal lesson, and there’s always something interesting to watch.
I also like the fact that it helps me kill two birds with one stone — I can improve my English while entertaining myself. So, for me, YouTube is definitely more than just a website; it’s part of my daily routine.

🎤 Speaking Part 3
1. What are the most popular and least popular apps in Vietnam?
I’d say apps like Facebook, TikTok, and Zalo are among the most widely used because people use them to stay connected, chat, and watch short videos. Shopping apps such as Shopee are also extremely common.
As for less popular apps, it really depends on the user. Some apps may lose their appeal if people don’t find them useful or if there are better alternatives available.
📚 Vocabulary:
🔹 widely used: được sử dụng rộng rãi
🔹 stay connected: duy trì kết nối
🔹 lose their appeal: mất sức hút
🔹 better alternatives: những lựa chọn thay thế tốt hơn
2. What’s the difference between the internet and television?
The biggest difference is that the internet is much more interactive. People can search for whatever they want, communicate with others, and choose exactly what they watch or read.
Television, on the other hand, is more one-way communication. Viewers mainly consume whatever programmes are being broadcast rather than actively choosing the content.
📚 Vocabulary:
🔹 interactive: có tính tương tác
🔹 one-way communication: giao tiếp một chiều
🔹 broadcast: phát sóng
3. Why do some people like to read the news on the internet instead of getting it from TV?
One reason is convenience. People can keep up with the news anytime and anywhere, without having to wait for a particular programme to start.
Another advantage is that online news is often updated more quickly. People can look up different sources and get more details about a story if they want to.
📚 Vocabulary:
🔹 keep up with the news: cập nhật tin tức
🔹 look up: tra cứu
🔹 different sources: nhiều nguồn khác nhau
🔹 get more details: có thêm thông tin chi tiết
4. Is the library still necessary? Why?
Definitely. Libraries provide a quiet place where people can focus on reading or studying without too many distractions. They’re especially useful for students who don’t have a suitable study space at home.
They also provide access to books and other resources that people may not want or be able to buy themselves. So, libraries still serve a useful purpose in modern society.
📚 Vocabulary:
🔹 focus on: tập trung vào
🔹 study space: không gian học tập
🔹 resources: tài liệu/nguồn học liệu
🔹 serve a useful purpose: có một mục đích hữu íc
5. What kinds of people would still go to the library to read and study?
I think students are probably the most common visitors, especially those who need a quiet place to get some work done. University students may also go there to access academic books and materials.
Apart from them, people who simply enjoy reading might visit libraries regularly. They may prefer the peaceful atmosphere and use it as a place to escape from distractions.
📚 Vocabulary:
🔹 get some work done: hoàn thành công việc
🔹 peaceful atmosphere: bầu không khí yên tĩnh
🔹 escape from distractions: tránh xa những thứ gây xao nhãng
6. What are the differences between old people and young people when they use the internet?
Young people tend to use the internet more for entertainment and social media. They’re usually comfortable with new apps and can pick up new technology quite quickly.
Older people may use it more for practical purposes, such as reading the news, shopping, or keeping in touch with family. They might take longer to get used to new features and platforms.
📚 Vocabulary:
🔹 pick up: học/nắm bắt nhanh
🔹 practical purposes: mục đích thực tế
🔹 keep in touch with: giữ liên lạc với
🔹 get used to: làm quen với, thích nghi với
